When a client sends an Accept header that includes text/markdown, Cloudflare fetches the origin HTML and returns a Markdown version with a token estimate header; origins that already serve Markdown are passed through. It was announced in February 2026 as a free beta on Pro, Business and Enterprise plans and is switched on from the dashboard. Pages over 2 MB are not converted.
